Why are pure water filters in demand? It has much to do with our drinking water and other water we use on a daily. The components of drinking water can be stunning. Distillation

This water purification process involves the heating of water to the boiling point which sterilizes the water from dirt and bacteria. Water is cooled down and the impurities in the water are separated through the process of evaporation leaving only pure and clean water. The clean water is condensed water vapor that can now be stored in a water purifier container that will repeat the process when fresh water is poured into it.

Advantages: This process can remove the hardness in the water often caused by the content of calcium and magnesium in the water as well as small levels of iron, aluminum and other metals. At very small amounts, they are harmless but large doses of these can cause metal poisoning. This process removes a wide range of contaminants including traces of pesticides.

Ion Exchange

The water purifier works overtime by moving water through a layer of beads made of resin coated with a sodium exchange. As the water pass through this layer, the ions in the water are exchanged by the ions in the resin beads. This process absorbs the hardness-producing metallic ions and other substances that make the water hard.

Advantages: Similar to the distillation process, an ion exchange water purifier eliminates the metallic substances in the water making it softer to the palate and safer for health. The initial cost is also inexpensive compared to other water purification processes.

Carbon Filtration

There are lots of water purifiers that use this type of method. A carbon filter is inside the container by which water passes through the carbon filter. Some systems use granulated carbon which makes the water movement faster and other water systems uses solid carbon where water takes time to pass through.

Advantages: Carbon filter water purifiers are good for odor removal. Carbon is an effective compound for eliminating objectionable odor, especially in water. The system will also remove some chemicals in the water making it purer and safer.
